Let's say Megan Fox was the new girl who moved in to your neighborhood.  For the sake of this little analogy I'm setting up for Fight Night Round 4, let's assume that she never became famous...in fact, she's some random chick working her tail off behind the counter at a McDonalds a town over.  Then your best friend tells you that Megan likes you and would like to talk to you.  Again, you don't know her, let alone know how she looks like.  Then finally the day comes.  You finally meet this woman...gorgeous! But wait...you have this perfect woman that is interested in adding your milk in her cocoa puffs, and all, but all...you...see...is...that...fat...juicy...round....hairy mole slap-dabbed in the middle of her forehead.  That's how I felt about Fight Night Round Four.  What could have been the perfect game is ruined by something so small, yet it's enough for me to think about tossing it in the trashcan.  First, let me tell you what I like about the game.  The graphics and the controls is phenominal.  The controls was as smooth as butter and flowed beautifully as if a fight would look like in real life.  It was also nice, for a change, to have Iron Mike Tyson on the roster instead of creating him so many times my brain would instigate a migraine after each time.  Speaking of creating, i liked the addition of the "add your face" sublet in the create-a-fighter, where you can upload a picture through the EA Sports website and create a fighter with your face.  In the technological age of wireless phones, high speed Internet, and 3D computer effects, it's damn about time we created our own selves complete with our mugs in a game.  I also liked how there is a "set structure" in the legacy mode, where there is a champion, a number one contender, and a set of boxers in said weight class competing with each other...and of course, by each other, I meant it literally which could mean a new champion can be crowned after each fight you take part in (CPU will simulate a fight with CPU), or of course, you can mow right through the competition, one by one.  Unfortunately, the legacy mode, the one thing that makes this franchise so unique, proves to be the biggest downside in Fight Night Round 4.  And by golly, it pisses me off.  I've scratched and clawed my way to #10 in the HW rankings undefeated, yet when I'm getting ready to fight for the #9 spot, it freezes.  I tried over and over again for the stroke of luck that would make it work one time so at least I can beat some nobody senseless for that #9 spot.  Nope.  Game over.  I'm forced to start all over again.  Given, there might be a patch out there that I don't know of, but this has been a problem for a while now that many on my google search is demanding for an update for this from EA Sports.  And even if I'm lucky enough to play legacy mode, the damn AI has the scales tipping against me.  I can throw ten billion punches at my opponent, mind you, punches that legitimately do some damage, yet my opponent can sneak one punch in (90% of the time it's a jab), stun me into a daze, and eventually knock me out for the win.  WTF man?! The stun punch (and let me add the parrying) is so goddamn awful that the game is spiced up in a way where luck is involved in more than half of the matches you fight in, whether luck is on your side or the CPU's side.  And don't tell me to adjust so and so settings.  I don't take pride in beating the crap out of someone on easy and will not tolerate it.  Punches that seem to graze the air end up damaging whoever's getting punched at.  Well, that sums up everything.  These are all minor infractions that can be bad enough so send someone into oblivion, and goodness forbid, scare someone from buying this game.  EA Sports, your marquee boxing game is not dead yet, but it's bleeding...a niagara-style hemorrhage....your Fight Night Round 4 game is how i described it: Megan Fox with the fattest, hairiest mole in the middle of her forehead.  I don't know how else i can explain it....well, at least I can create Kanye West through the "create your face" feature and beat him up ; )
