I skipped out on FIFA 12, but did play it often with friends and was quite annoyed with the game and its various glitches. FIFA 13 seems to have created this almost anti-glitch game that flows so smoothly and realistic. I've purchased every FIFA since 2000, and seeing how the game has progressed, I am extremely pleased. FINALLY FIRST TOUCH CONTROL! I've always wanted to give advantages to more skilled players because I couldn't deal with the fact defenders could easily catch Ronaldo or Messi, just isn't so real. FIFA 13 has cleaned up the skill levels of players, truly figured out the impact engine and now i'm glued to my xbox playing one of my favorite FIFA's to date. Of course, it is hard to figure out at first with the varying touches of players, accuracies, etc, but having a sports game that truly relies on skill and strategy of the player, not his team, makes for much more exciting and unpredictable matches. For example, today I beat an all gold star studded team on Ultimate team with a spanish based all bronze squad and crushed them 8-1! ALL ABOUT SKILL! Also, the soundtrack and interface have drastically improved, as well as cutscenes. It is a very supped up version of FIFA 12, but it definitely improved in all the areas in which FIFA 12 lacked, and for that I am extremely please. The only downside to the game is that the celebrations are still awkward, would love to see some full team celebration huddles, and maybe not seeing the same dance by two people fully synchronized.... apart from the actual scorer. And it is hard to get the hang of, unless you truly are a FIFA master! AND THANK YOU EA FOR FINALLY PUTTING MESSI ON THE COVER.... ALONE!
