i was unfamiliar with fast draw showdown, but i vaguely remembered Mad Dog Mc Cree, which was a similar game by the same company. These games were released in the early 90's on a revolutionary new technology called "laserdisc". Now, about 20 years later you can play them on your wii and it's a lot of fun. I read somewhere Fast Draw Showdown has better gameplay then Mad Dog Mc Cree.
You get to see some live video footage of a cowboy who challenges you to a duel. You have to hold the wii-mote down, like you would a revolver. Then, as soon as you see your challenger reach for his gun, you pull yours out and fill him, or her, with lead. There's a lot of humor to this game and some of the later challengers are extremely hard. They shoot faster and/or re more distanced. The gameplay works great, with the game noticing exactly when you go for your gun to fast. The video footage is very dated though, looking like early you-tube movies. The sets and actors do a great job.
You can have a blast together with a friend and for only 500 wii-points it's a great buy.
