Far Cry: Instincts was a very good FPS in 2005. Far Cry Instincts: Evolutions is almost the same thing, but with added bonuses that make it better than it was. Jack Carver returns with a vengence when he is frames for a murder he didn't commit and convinced to jump into the frey by a hot chick who he doesn't know. The single player campaign is better than the original Instincts in most ways, with the only exception being in the graphical department. The people just look too digital for their own good. Everything else looks fantastic, but the people just don't look right. There are several new vehicles to drive and new weapons, such as the cocktail bomb and the pipe bomb, that Carver can use to blow up those pesky thugs. I have noticed that the language has been toned down a noch, which is good, but I'm sure Jack will return to his profanity filled speeches soon. With added mapmaker features and new multiplayer modes to play around with, and with a price tag of $29.99, Evolution is a great game to pick up and play. It's better to play the original first, but even if you haven't you'll love the authentisity of the series.
