This is a fun game. Albiet too short, it does have enough variety to keep things interesting.
Game play is just plain addictive and it doesn't ware on you like Far Cry for the PC, in that it has less serious undertones. It's one of those shoot 'em up games, where you can blast your way through levels with a few simple puzzles added in. Although it can get a little frustrating, when you are facing a multitude of enimies.
The controls feel a lot smoother this time around and it won't take you too long to become familiar with the buttons. The tutorial does a good job in that respect. One thing they've expanded on is the rage mode, where you press a button to attack an enemy in an animal-like fashion. It's a lot of fun to see your taunting foes go flying to far distances - revenge!
The sound is pretty good too. Lots of ambient effects and conversations amongst unsuspecting opponents. In addition, the music adds to the drama when in battles; just enough to get the adrenaline pumping.
This games keeps the Far Cry tradtion of rideable vehicles. I really have a blast with the ATV and the JetSki, good sense of speed, rivaling dedicated racing games. One thing that is very lose is the story, or lack of one. There's no real reason to have one as it doesn't make much sense. Kind of dumb as well.
Despite some graphical short comings and silly story, this game is really fun.
