Far cry3 is a game that succeeds in every aspect unlike most modern day shooter. It has an exciting, memorable story, fast and responsive gameplay, beautiful visuals and tonnes to do. There is not one aspect in the the game which dissapoints or is not high quality like the rest.
The games vhas some of the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen in a video game. It has a great use of colours and truly looks georgous especially when walking through the fooliage or when by the coast watching the sea flow beside you. Rivers do not look as great as the rest of the enviroment and seem to look more like Gel than water.
The story is about jason brody rescuing his friends from an evil captive called vaas. He gets caught up in a tribe and goes through a deep transformation from a young, careless boy into a deadly survivor. I was orginally very dissapointed in the story because it did not foccus on survival at all and the sutitation jason brody got himself in and survived were very unbelievable. However on my second playrthrough I enjoyed the story much more and grew to love some of the villians like buck and vaas. They are crazy and are really well written. They are what made far cry3 story so memorable and are certainly some of the best villians in gaming history.
Far cry3 gameplay is amazing. Shooting feels powerful and responsive, movement is very fast and feels just right which makes exploring the island on foot fun, driving feels very weighty and overall gameplay is great.
Far cry3 is an amazing game with very few faults and is a must buy, especially since the game is cheap now and at full price is about £20- 25. Far cry3 is one of the few game to live up to the hype in 2012 and is definately a one of the best that year.
