It's a little late for a review on this expansion but nice none the less; anyway The Pitt is an excellent expansion that puts you into the role of a slave by a mysterious runaway named Wernher and he wants you to help him free his people from a group of sinister slavers that hold a cure to a body and mind altering disease that turns people into strange creatures called Trogs (think of Gollum from LOTR)

This add-on gives you some new toys to play with but unfortunately they're so few that it's almost disappointing that they didn't put anything else beyond the few Auto Axe weapons or the Metal Blaster, but you will obtain some relatively useful armor from Ashur and one of the slavers, provided you find all 100 steel ingots in game which will provide a challenge.

There are only a few areas to actually explore around the Pitt and you'll find yourself quickly wondering, " Is this really all there is?"
There's the bridge area filled with landmines you must traverse, the entrance to the pitt it's self, the inside area which is rather small and few other areas while they seem large in size is actually rather small considering how large the rest of the game is; the largest area actually being the downtown area and the foundry coming in second.

There are a few new characters you'll be able to align yourself with for the sake of completing this add-on, Wernher being one of them and Midea a fellow slave that's helping him to obtain the cure to which is the whole point of the add-on it's self.
There are also some other things to do besides finishing the main quest such as completing an unmarked quest to find all 100 steel ingots in which to obtain some pretty rare armor which also grants you an achievement or trophy and fighting in the underground arena for your freedom.

The entirety of the add-on is done all but too quickly and if you're speedy enough can complete it in about 3-4 hours, so it's not much but it's a different environment than what's available in the capitol wasteland.
Although my review may seem like it's bashing it for it's relatively obvious shortcomings, I by no means mean that at all, there are some toys to play with and the best one to me arguably is The Mauler a fun variant of the Auto Axe, plus you get a silenced automatic rifle that being the Infiltrator, pretty fun to shoot around.

So have as much fun as you can in this short adventure, I give it a 4/5 (because I love this game in general)
