Two nice add-ons. But nice is not enough for a masterpiece as Fallout.

User Rating: 7 | Fallout 3 Game Add-On Pack - The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage X360
OPERATION: ANCHORAGE
This first add-on was probably the one that I wanted to play the most. I loved (I love) the idea to fight the Chinese army as an American soldier in an hypotetical-future war. Add to this that I love snowy places and bingo!
I can't say that I'm been completely disappointed by Operation Anchorage. The story is just weird, totally clearly fake. Come on, the outcast need someone to complete an higly realistic simulation (who the hell would create a simulator that kills you if you die in it!?!) and obviously you're the only one who can complete that.
But the simulation itself is really nice. The whole Anchorage campaign seems like a sort of "arcade game" inside Fallout... I liked it very much.
This add on has only two defects:
-It's really short.
-I would have liked to see more massive fights between the Chinese and American army.
Oh, and I also have to say that the final boss (!!!spoiler) is a bit weird. A semi-invincible Chinese general with no armor or stuff. WTF???
But, in the end, this add-on is very funny to play and the reward you gain is excellent (I LOVE that white power armor and my Gauss Rifle).

THE PITT
This add-on never convinced me since i first see his trailer. Nothing really particular or special in it. Yeah, slaves and slaveholders, but, you know, they're also in the normal game. The new enemies are just very-fast, fat and goblin-like ghouls.
The only really cool new thing in this add-on is that mechanic axe. That rocks!
The story is nice but nothing more. I thought that Ashur, the Pitt boss, was going to use all the iron that the slaves were collecting to build some sort of world-destroyer weapon and conquer everything, but... no, nothing of that.
This add on is also very short. I haven't spent more than 10 hours to play Anchorage AND the Pitt (which is short for an intense and expansive RPG like Fallout).
Don't misunderstand, this add on isn't really that bad. But it doesn't even really "add" something to the game. I'll give him a...

So I'll give a 7 to this add-on pack. Nice (particularly Anchorage) but nothing more, and a bit too short. Fortunately, the successive add-ons are much way better.
