In concept FE had / has great potential. Delivery however fails miserably I predict bargain bin within a years time.

In theory this could have been one of the great ones. Potential for RP/PvP/ PvE is there. Sadly the Sandbox approach is quickly nullified as one is forced into a build much like a FTP ( free to play ) MMO.

The game favors a ranged build and going against the grain on this will mean ineffective play at higher levels.
Clearly a case of "bean counters" causing the developers to cut many corners.
Presented as a 2nd gen MMO FE fails to deliver. The graphical quality and consistency is lacking in comparison to current 2nd gen. MMO standards, and requires very high computer resources to reap little rewards.

Overall FE was a very big disappointment, considering its beginnings several years ago. At first it seems one has many options for play. IE: pistols, rifles, melee, (edged, blunt) dual wielding and later on mutations. One can even have a mount right out of the box.

The economy is something that was clearly not thought out and the game will soon be prey to gold farmers. Clan (guild) mgt controls are almost non existent. Experienced guilds will soon be sorely disappointed.

The community Mgt. is run in a gestapo fashion which IMO prevents constructive criticism of key game elements from ever reaching the developers.

However the community itself, has a rich blend of interesting gamers, most experienced and many that will enrich an MMO community. Most of these however have left in similar disgust as the game is nerfed into oblivion, from it's original intended concept.

This is a great idea, executed horribly over all and not worth the time and money in this reviewers opinion. I had been involved from day one alpha and, had the pleasure of leading the top clan (guild) throughout the end of testing.

FE has potential to be much fun, and has all the elements of a great long lasting MMO that could hold it's weight and become a stable in the MMO scene. Despite it's poor graphic engine, poor community management, obvious limited resources, and dumb-ing down from it's original onset it would be worth a look should a free trial become available.
