Dissapointing.... Sim racers read on. Arcade racers dont.

There's not much to say about this game other than it is not even close to what it was supposed to be. bad physics, poor realism, lots of bugs.the only good thing is the graphics.but all games have nice graphics nowadays so its not such a big feat.

Codemasters promised us full simulation with lots of stuff to tweak and test but in fact they didnt even care to include some of the car settings mentioned in the game manual!
after days of playing and 1 succesful season i still havent found the gear shift mode setting and the tyre pressure setting. its the first game that i see with a manual talking about things that arent included in game! disastrous!

The existing settings are just a few and in arcade style with no real numbers and effect on the car.you just move some bars left and right with some random numbers on each side and check what the effect is. if there is any. there's no Fast/slow bump/rebound, no caster..etc.
generaly nothing like in the GTR titles or other sim racing games. even Need for Speed SHIFT has more car settings and they work!

the only setting that looks like it has real numbers is the camber and the only setting that looks like its working is the front/rear wing setting. other than that nothing realy works.
especialy the Toe in/out setting that works just a little and the opposite way than it should.even its description is the same for both.
you can run very fast laps in a small team car on maximum hard/low setup in the most bumpy tracks and you wont even feel a hint of instability.you might as well get a pole position and a win if you know the track.

Its an unfinished product that was rushed for no other obvious reason other than to keep up with the current F1 season for promotional purposes. or Codemasters has no idea how to make a racing sim game.something hard to believe judging by their older racing games success. or they just wanted to make some fast money.enormous hype before the release but nothing to brag about after.

Conclusion: Good game for arcade racers and simulation novices that dont ask for much generaly but absolutely dissapointing for veteran sim racers and hardcore number lover F1 fans.Codemasters obviously doesnt give a f**k about them(us)
it won't be a surprise if we wont se an F1 2011 title. at least from Codemasters.hopefully.
