The king of strategy games is back! Paradox Studio manager Johan Andersson takes us through the newest features.
i know what I'm buying ! finally one series that has only gotten better and not sold out like say, for instance anything that EA touches.
Big fan of EU, HOI and CK (in this order of preference) and not much of a fan of victoria series....
I am even now playing EU 3 with a mod called Death and Taxes. It's a great mod.
What I do not like however from what has been presented is that I was hoping that they increase the time period. they said that the period will run up until the late XVIIIth century... that's 1799 tops.. I want it to run till the beginning of the XXth century :(.
They also cut 50 years since the game usually started in EU3 in 1399 autumn... and now its 1443 winter. :(
@Dawn_oF_Doom Well the game starts when ck2 ends, also it would be really hard and expensive to make a game that ran until the beggining of the XXth century, too many changes in small time periods, specially regarding politics and technology. But we can dream.
Europa Universalis III and Crusader Kings II are one of the best games ive ever played. Cant wait for this.
And this IS the gameplay. There are no "intressting combat" its just numbers. Its the results thats great.
Go watch a "lets play" on crusader kings II and youll know what this is about. This is just more diplomacy and trade.
@River_Horse Yeah but some more tactical components to the battle would be great, army composition doesn't really matter much in ck2 and in my opinion that is a flaw. Also, to just have naval combat would be great, would be nice to be able to make a blockade.
@kkxtrouble There are naval combat. One of my fondest memories from EU 3 is when I was playing as The Byzantines, making a blockade on the ottomans so they cant march troops across the water and then I just took back greater greece.
@kkxtrouble oh, but no naval combat in CK 2. I realized that may be what you were talking about. Getting late, i'm tired hehe
woot! Europa Universalis was always a favorite of mine, thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster, that this isn't a mmo or free to play..good to have normal in the maddness of today
I probably won't end up playing this game, but I'm glad to see games like this can still find a space in the market.
I like the new trade system. I guess I should look for a video where he talks about the improvements in the tech system.
Let me explains again, in prafectly clear English, I wants flies in on a dragons, okay? How many times I got to tells this peoples?
@ggregd That wasn't perfectly clear English at all.
Shuts up, Toki.
He's saying the commentator is attempting to speak clearly. However due to his accent. He's not succeeding. And on top of that he's attempting to be amusing.
Something this comment absolutly is not.
@ggregd I can't even begin to understand what you meant by that comment.
Looks good so far. I enjoyed the other games Europa games and play them from time to time still. Will be watching this one closely.
Please do the converter. That would indeed be awesome. That would help multiplayer mega campaigns a lot. I'm also sure that the community will appreciate that.
