The very first DragonBallZ game that came out for the PS2 was DBZ Budokai. It came out in December of 2002. DBZ budokai is a great game, it has an awesome story mode, good and fast paced gameplay, cool graphics, and easy controls. the game has 5 modes including Story, Versus, Tournament, Training, and Options. To start off the review of the game I'm goonna first look at the story, the story line starts at the beginning of the Saiyan Saga and ends at the ending of the Cell Games Saga. The story plays 3D cutscenes that play just like the TV show in between each fight. Next is the versus mode, here you can face against the computer, or against a friend. Finally there's the World Tournament mode to were you compete in a tournament at different levels (novice, Medium, and Advanced) to win skill captule's and money. The graphics in the game are great looking, and cool to look at. As for the controls for Budokai, they are easy to use and master, most of the moves and special moves are easy to perform.
OVERALL: 8.0 A great first DBZ game in the series. Has a fun and entertainig story mode, has good 3D graphics. Is a great game for any DBZ fan, or a person new to the DBZ series.
