Despite having language boundary problems, DBO is a pretty good game overall with a few setbacks.

Language issues put aside DBO is probably one of the better F2P's on the market. Borrowing much of it's UI and quest interface from WoW, DBO does very little to deviate from popular trends. But where it does deviate makes it a very alluring and quite fun game overall. The combat system, while it can get quite stale, offers a lot more versatility than most F2P MMO's. The style is entirely martial in nature so if you don't like fighter style games then most likely you won't like DBO. That isn't to say that this is sstrictly melee game, because it's not, but it just so happens that the game itself is more steeped in the martial arts than anything else. The license too is another appealing aspect, though don't rely to much on it since your inclusion in the cannon Dragon ball story line is limited at best. Still you will find yourself amongst the star cast of DB and DBZ and for fans of the series this will be enough to pique their interest. While many of the quests you will find yourself unable to finish, more often than not you will not find problems in progressing. The storyline is bilinear with two distinct tales developing in the past as well as the present. Some notable setbacks include however the obvious language boundary issue as well as sometimes requiring real life money to do things that would be free in P2P MMO's. But that put aside DBO is a pretty fun game once you figure out it's mechanics and you can even ease the language boundaries with one of the many makeshift English patches, which while they work do not encompass every aspect of the game.
