"...If you're looking for a worthwhile expansion, consider The Stone Prisoner."

User Rating: 8 | Dragon Age: Origins - The Stone Prisoner PC
Dragon Age's The Stone Prisoner expansion is a very short, single-quest addition to the core game. Despite its length, it contains the character Shale, who happens to be one of the best party members available. He's a cynical, well-spoken golem who has contempt for anything that has flesh, but he has one major fear: birds. When you reach the area where Shale is acquired, you will find him frozen out in a courtyard where, over the many years he's been there, birds have harassed him with their excrement. He's an absolutely exceptional character, being bitingly crass with humans one moment and nervously warning of birds about the next. After you find Shale and continue on your way, there's one hilarious moment before you actually leave. I won't spoil it. The quest itself is interesting, but again, it's extremely short. It all takes place in and around one area. Shale is worth it because he has some good abilities. And rather than using armor (He is a golem after all) he can use these special power crystals found around Ferelden which add to him some powerups. So if you're looking for a worthwhile expansion, consider The Stone Prisoner.
