Well worth the extra effort!

I loved this game on Super Nintendo but it is quite a bit more challenging on Game Boy Color. I am not sure what could make such a difference. Perhaps, it is the tiny screen or the glare that is nearly impossible to avoid with GBC. Maybe Nintendo set the game up to be more intense and "sensitive" when close to enemies. Often, when I try and stomp an enemy, it looks as if I got him, but he ends up getting me instead and I am losing a lot of lives that way. The music isn't great but it is similar to that of the original to some degree. When Diddy Kong tags along he doesn't follow you, but only remains as an icon in the corner of the screen, which is also different from the original. What I like about this version on GBC that the Super Nintendo version lacks, is the Kong Bonus Fishing Level and the variety of different languages that you can use, such as Italian, which hardly any game ever offers. It also offers the ability to link up, which I haven't been able to use yet. I really don't know anyone who has this game, but I am sure that it is a nice addition. Overall, this is still a great game, just more of a challenge. Well worth the effort.
