A great and addicting game !

Well , i guess Pixar does it again with another movie and i'll assume it is as good as the game because they made alot of money with it .And thanks to Rainbow Studios for such a great game , this was a lot of fun , i basically bought it for my daughter but i ended up playing 95% of it . It's definitly for young and old and whats nice is they give you a ''Compact'' story line to follow for the younger kids .The ''Full-size'' game is actually easy but some of the mini games , and there's a lot of them can be very challenging at times but only enough to make you wanting to keep playing till you complete them ,almost addicting .The story mode opens up with you at Radiator Springs the more races you win the more thats opened up ,same with the mini games and you have to keep winning to open up the other two areas that are Ornament Valley and Tailfin Pass . Once you win your first race you have a free rome but there's not much to do or should i say interact with the town is basically a ghost town and even the cars dont react much to you other than saying hello as they pass by unless your in a race or mini game and not much goes on so you will get board unless your driving around and collecting L/Bolt points that are scatterd around town and you'll never run out of them .

You have two types of races Road Races and Piston Cup Races the P/races are just a Nascar type of race basically oval tracks and a lot of fun .There just 12 laps and they do go by fast and all the R/races are races scattered threw out around the three areas so after awhile you will get used to where your going and it'll be 1 or 3 lap races with three or more drivers which are also a blast which brings me to the controls for these races i thought they handled good , not much slop in the cars they all handled about the same some slower than others , L/McQueen handled the best but your playing him most of the game so you get used to how the car handles and after awhile you get power boosters to help you along which is great to have along with a powerslide which is definitly needed with this game .Although you do not get the P/slide or the Booster when in the ''Piston cup races''

The graphics of this game are as what you'd expect with Xbox nice looking ,clean with Lightning McQueen looking the most detailed , the back drops remind me of ''Destroy all Humans'' if you played that then you know what to expect although this game has little to look at mostly desert and sand with a few trees you can blow through the town in 5 seconds with your booster on and not see much at all . If i had to do this game all over again id waited till it came out on the 360 , from what iv'e read it's supposed to look as good as the movie it's self . The only bad thing i found with this game is the clipping issues more than once id be caught half way in a rock or the camera would go underneath to show a completly diferent sceen and sometimes my car would meld into the sand like it's half buried ,stange ,but it didn't kill the fun .The sound of the game was fine as well as the soundtrack i enjoyed the music it was also great to hear the real actors lend their voices, small things like that add to the experience. I guess the toughest part of the game is the collecting of the ''postcards'' it's a fun mini game, your not on a timer or have to race other cars to get them, just a lot of jumping but it can be tough . In order to collect all 20 you have to have the other two areas unlocked i found like 12 or 13 on my own but after that i neede help, but the worst thing is you dont get any reward for it it's the toughest part of the game and you get '' ziltch'' ! One other thing is the night races ,way to dark i had to turn my brightness all the way up just to finish the races . But dont let that deter you from getting this ,personally id wait till the 360 version comes out but it's a great game and i had alot of fun racing so even if your not realy into racing pick this up it's addicting and great fun ,hopefully they come out with a '' Cars 2 ''
