It's fun but a bit overrated in my opinion

I can really enjoy games like this where you don't just run-and-gun through the whole game. Honestly, I just appreciate that there are options in how one proceeds in a game rather than being entirely forced down a track where you are tightly controlled by the game. This is one of those games though it's depth might considered less than one would hope for.

From the start of the game I did feel a bit like I was playing Bioshock. The gaming style and graphics hint at this series which, for most, isn't a bad thing. As the game wore on I came to enjoy the range of options I had in a given situation though, overall, the game is still quite straightforward and predictable. That is to say, while you have options per se, really it just comes down to fairly basic killing routines or quite common stealth mechanics. Neither fighting or stealth are of any unique quality and this game does not really push forward in either area. Quite simply, there are many games where both types of gaming style are done better and feel more polished.

Ultimately, it is clear that the developers did put in some effort to make this game. However, it just doesn't stand out as anything particularly exciting, new, or improved. The general concept is quite cool but it just isn't fleshed out as deeply as one might wish. For example, while it is the case that you have an array of tools/techniques at your disposal, you are never really required to explore these options. So, it is very easy to get in the groove of a particular technique and simply use it for the majority of the game. You really have to just make the choice to use everything that is available rather than feel that the various techniques are really required. In that way, the game is quite simplistic.

Graphically and as a story, this are also fairly basic. Graphics are nothing special and the story line is quite cliche. You really just don't get to any point in the game where you truly feel like this game is doing anything outstanding. Again, it's fun but a bit overrated.

If you're looking for a game to fill in your game time then it's certainly worth a play. However, don't expect to be overly wowed or have your jaw drop at any point in the game.
