Disaster DOC was not released in North America at least, not yet.
This makes me feel so sorry for them because this game is awesome. Honestly it reminds of the old N64/PS1 games like Syphon Filter.

Right so let's start with the amazing story. Sure the main character is a tereo-typical "retired ex marine forced to take up the call of duty once more when [insert love interest's name here] is kidknapped by [insert villanous organisation]", but so what? That just makes it fun. And it's surprisingly gritty, I won't ruin the story anymore but let's just say you won't expect some of the stuff to happen.
However, the cutscenes can be a bit lengthy but meh, it's like watching a movie. except without the popcorn.

So graphics, but wait! Wii's not about graphics. Gameplay>>>Graphics!!! Yeah shut up. Everyone knows that graphics can really help to make or break a game. You don't want the main character's hand to keep clipping through the handle of the gun do you? It's just sloppy. Luckily this game doesn't have that poblem. In fact the graphics are spectacular - especially in the first level. But after that, lighting becomes practically non existent, but the awesome draw distance, textures and character models make up for it.

SO finally gameplay. If you've been following this game, you probably know it's split into three sections - driving, shooting and exploring. Exploring is definatly the most fun. There's nothing like seeing an ex-marine eat a burger bigger than his head in two bites. loading times are about twice a level and fairly quick unlike a certain game on the 360/ps3 featuring a blue hedgehog. Man i hated that game.
Anyway, the shooting is just like, if not better than time crisis and it makes you wish that they had included an arcade mode with just the shooting sections - maybe next time
Lastly the driving, it's fairly good but it's also way too easy to imitate the scene from Casion Royal with all the barrel rolls. I actually got an award saying i flipped the car 5 times (you get awards for doing certain things to lengthen it out a bit). It's the worst out of the three but not so unneccessarily so that it ruins the game.
Lastly (honest this time), the learning curve is perfect, but you should pobably start on easy because even if it starts out easy over the 24 huuuuuge levels, it becomes VERY hard. Well not that hard, but certainly difficult.

Overall, this game has a very old school feel to it, jumping up to ledges on the side of derelict skyscrapers(which collapse in front of you in real time gameplay) and really has something for most people. The physics are also awesome, however the bad guys are sooooo stupid, you'd think they were blind the way they fire randomly and melee attack thin air, but then that just makes it fun and more retro. Seriously ifnyou grew up on the N64/ps1, you'll love this game!
