One of the most entertaining action/adventure games ever made.

DMC3 is a hack n slash style action game that has a character who uses different types of swords and guns as weapons, and he'll fight demons and he can perform some outrageous(I mean outrageous in a good way),acrobatic jumps and somersaults and wall jumps and often you'll do this while industrial metal music is playing.

The game has a gothic/dark atmosphere while still having modern day world style influence. You'll first play through the game using a character named 'Dante' who has white hair, and long red coat but you can unlock Dante's brother named Vergil if you beat the game.

There's something about the gameplay that makes it fun and so entertaining.I think it's a combination of the smooth controls, easy to do spectacular combos, and the fact you can switch between either using guns or a sword as your weapon at the press of a button and you can use different types of guns and swords too.You can press L1 to lock onto any enemy and handguns fire very rapidly but they do very little damage. The shotgun does more damage, but fires at a slower rate but the power of a shotgun blast can put an enemy down for a second and is helpful if you're surrounded by multiple enemies or don't want to be counterattacked. The sword is the most damaging weapon, but as you would imagine,it can only connect with an enemy if they're close to you(leaving you vulnerable to their attacks),while guns chip off little bits of an enemy's health and if you're very patient you can stay a distance away from an enemy and chip off their health with your guns or you can finish them off quickly with some brutal melee combos.Like I've mentioned,Dante can perform some very acrobatic jumps, somersaults, wall jumps and horitzonal rolls(to dodge enemy attacks)and his acrobatic abilities will be needed at times for platform jumping and for puzzles(at times you'll need to collect orbs for puzzles from high places that require lots of acrobatic jumping).

The boss fights involve battles against some tough and sometimes huge bosses and DMC3 is more punishing than other hack n slash games, and when you're hit by enemy attacks or by the attacks from bosses, you'll lose quite a bit of health. After you complete a few levels,an easy difficulty level is included if you're struggling with the difficulty of this game, but even on the easy difficulty, the bosses are still no pushover.

The only thing I don't like about the game is the puzzles can be a bit hard without a guide(they were for me anyways).

I don't know what else to say about this game, except it's fun to play(because of all the reasons I've mentioned above)and it's got a great style and IMO it's the best DMC game.
