Well I admit my review is a little subjective, but something just didn't click for me in DXHR. I liked elements of style from the first Deus Ex game that were recreated in this installment, but as good as they are, I simply wasn't too excited. The story and voice acting aren't bad, but for some reason fail to engage in the same manner I experienced in ME2. The game is quite polished in most regards, and it's obvious that they spent a whole lot of effort on it. One specific things that most people already commented on, the boss fights don't do any good to suspension of disbelief. The first one is the worst, as apparently there are only two ways to pass it - either display superhuman accuracy throwing explosive barrels and fire extinguishers at your opponent, all the while dodging bullets of his enormous Gatling gun, or hide in one of the side rooms (which he mysteriously doesn't enter) and wait till he fumbles a few grenade tosses, weakening himself. Sorry but that's plain silly. As to the final confrontation, that's a real anti-climax. It's not too difficult to get through, and mechanics of that level just aren't too interesting, and then the game is over. All in all, a very decent game which can be played through a couple of times, but I expected something more exciting which it wasn't. And oh yeah, I've seen way too many "defense turrets" and conveniently places explosive barrels in various games through the years, so these were pretty much a cliche.
