Another Playstation classic!
Destruction Derby was stunning in it's day. I don't think car crash games would be what they are today without it. Revolutionary, seriously. No game I think had ever saw car damage detailed so well. I think for about 5 minutes it was considered the best game in the world. The game's 'bowl' arena's became famous as the most fun thing on video game to take part in. You have to survive while every other opponent (20 of them) is out to do the same as you - spin or finish of a car for points. Most points win but you get a bonus 10 points for being the last car left running. Catchy techno plays through-out the game. You can also do other things like race through a season on different race tracks to vary the game a bit from the Destruction Derby bowl, but that's still by far the most fun/memorable thing about the game.
The game is simply amazing for its time, and if you've never before seen/played it, just check it out for some quick thrills and another bit of gaming history.
