This is a pretty good hunting game.

Deer Hunter 2005 is a game where you hunt deer (no duh). First thing you do is select a hunter you would like to be and set his skills. You have 15 points to fill in the skills. The skills are Calling: higher it is the more likely you won't screw up on a call, Stealth: higher it is the closer you can get to deer so you can have a more powerful shot, Tracking: higher it is you will c more tracks/blood left behind by deer, Presence: higher it is then you'll be able to make a closer guess to the size of the animal, Weapons: higher it is the more accurate you will be and also reloading time and recovery is faster, Strength: higher it is then you'll run faster, build concealments faster and give more strength to a bow and arrow shot. After you set your skills you will have to choose your gear. You can choose two weapons ( there are many to choose from, some are harder to use than others) one concealment, one vehicle and a couple items like calls, scents, food, binoculars, a map and a GPS. There are 7 maps to choose from, most of them take place in America but one takes place in Germany and one takes place Australia. You can also download custom maps. There are five deer species to hunt, they are white tail deer, black tail deer, roe deer, axis deer and mule deer. Killing a deer isn't that easy if you are new to the game because you have to have an accurate shot to shhot it in a vital organ like the lungs or brain. Sometimes if you get a sucessful shot you will change to bullet can view where you see the bullet coming out of the gun in slow motion and hitting the deer. When the deer dies it has a rag doll effect, sometimes it looks cool like when a deer is running at top speed and you shoot it, then when you kill it while it is running it will do flips in the air but sometimes the deer die in strange postions cause of the rag doll effect. When hunting deer you have a bag limit, you can only kill one doe/fawn and two bucks, if you go over the bag limit you become illegal and lose trophies and credits that you won on the hunt you became illegal. You can also become illegal by shooting a deer in water or shooting and endangerd speices of bird. Online is the same as single player except you play with other people, there are different game types like Best Buck, Best Total and i think there is another one but i forgot it. So gameplay is good but you may experience lag when your in an area with lots of trees. Graphics are good, the deer look very good but people don't look that great, sound is good, you can hear birds chirping and if you get close to water you hear frogs but sometimes there is no sound at all, value is good i got my copy for $12. I recommend deer hunter to anybody who will not be bored walking around 75% of the game.
