Red & Black Chimichanga King

User Rating: 7.5 | Deadpool X360
PROS: Hilarious, up-gradable weaponry, Deadpool character is spot on, great & funny cameos, and again the humor (one of the funniest games I have played this entire generation)

CONS: Repetitive combat, lack of enemy designs, not much depth in gameplay, gun-play feels broken, camera needs work

Deadpool is something else. I have been a fan of the character since the mid 90's, so going into this I was worried for the character himself. Luckily, one of the greatest achievements of this game is how well High Moon nailed the character. Nolan North was an absolute perfect fit for Deadpool, and I couldn't have asked for a better representation of the character.

The game strives and shines with the dialogue. This is by far, one of the funniest games I have ever played, and definitely one of the funniest games I have played this entire generation. The batter between Deadpool and the two voices in his head is outstanding, and the comedy; though very immature at times (actually a lot), is gold.

The gameplay is actually the biggest problem with the game. A lot of people complain about the length, but honestly, the length is a blessing in disguise because it never overstays it's welcome. If this game were any longer than what it was, I would've probably never completed it due to boredom from the broken gun-play and repetitive battles. Sure, in the beginning it's solid, and is fun, but it starts to wear thin and you begin to see there's not much else to do in combat. There's no real strategy, it's just go balls in and kill every identical looking enemy until you can move on. There are a decent amount of weaponry to choose from that is all upgrade-able, which is great, but what really bogged it down for me were the guns.

If this had not been a Deadpool game, and if the script and dialogue weren't so damn good, I would've rated it lower. However, Deadpool and his mouth and the s*** he says is just so good, you can't help but enjoy the game. That is actually what kept me going to the end just so I could see what else he gets himself into, what else he says, and how much more s*** he could put Cable through. The graphics look good, and the comedy is gold. That alone makes this game worth at least a single play through.
