Dead Space Reloaded - the infestation continues...
Story:
You play as the "slightly-hill-billy-looking-yet-still-a-bad-a**" Isac in a new infestation and a new confrontation with the marker. The story continues a few years after the first part when people have build another marker and all hell broke loose. Isac, who is now the proud resident of a mental facility, is once again forced to fight his way through dark and creepy corridors in order to destroy the marker and probably save the world.
Graphics:
The game looks great. Models and animations are great and the game runs smooth on a decent systems. Lighting and shadows are probably the most impressive aspects as they perfectly depict the terrifying environment an alien infestation would take place in. Weapons look nice with nothing worth noticing. Boss-like creatures are awesome.
Gameplay:
Little has change from the previous game so the gameplay is still awesome with a few new tricks that don't really make a difference. The main thing to notice is the impressive and scary mood the game keeps fresh even after the credits started rolling. It's always fun to dismember monsters while keeping a sharp eye on the ammo count. You still upgrade the suit and your weapons, you still buy items and weapons and you have a personal stash. You also have multiplayer support which i did not enjoy in any special way.
Sound:
This is probably the strong point of the game. Every sound seems to be perfectly selected and , like in any other masterpiece, they all perfectly blend together to create this amazing experience. The game looses most of it's charm if played without sound.
Overall Dead Space 2 is a must play if you enjoy the first game. The magnificent sound effects and the intense gameplay will prove highly enjoyable throughout all 15 chapters.
