Graphics Value:

Okay, so this game wasn't built from the floor up to be made a graphical masterpiece, It's quite fun and beautiful regardless of the issues other players seem to be having that i've seen no part of, from the detail on the blood, to the ever hilarious psycho's that we encounter, It's all very nice on the eyes!

Now of course there is a lot of rinse and repeat with the zombie models that we face, however the zombies don't play as such a big of a role as the psycho's do, most the time you really aren't paying attention to them unless it's to humiliate them in one of the many ways you can find to do so, the psycho's are all done exceptionally well and have a real sense of character to them with the flow of colors, or therefore lack of! To give you the sense that this is a trouble being.

At times during the cut scene's however, you will notice a few small lag spikes that will inherit in the general amount of them going on, but we figure this is most likely cause it's trying to load the rest of the game every time you watch one, but you won't really notice such a problem in game! So they lived up to their word and fixed the issue that was on most of our minds, when a game has poor frame rate issues, It just becomes a disaster to try and sink your teeth into!

Overall, this game with grapple you with it's silly art design and most of you will love the way this thing has turned out.

Sound:

From the groans, to the pinging of a baseball bat! It's got them all, most of them fairly accurate and the voice actors are all extremely good at what they do, the psycho's can be a bit stereotypical from what you might expect, so most of the time you're able to pick out what kind of group each person would belong to, It's all kind of odd that more than half of your survivors/psycho's seem to belong to the same kind of redneck family, should some of us be taking this as an insult? Either way, they play their part spot on.

Chuck is more than a little cliché at times, but this is just to add to the humor of the game and rightly it does so, the guns are a bit off in the way they sound but this really isn't such a big part of the game as most the time you'll most likely be using melee to strike down all the baddies, from the whirring of the beam sword, to the rumble of a chainsaw paddle, to even just the sound of plastic smacking up against your enemies, It's a morbidly great delight to hear the crack of a skull when you put the nail bat into a zombies head.

Overall here? The game is very comedy built and the sounds you hear, or the voice actors you come across will range in a diverse setting of unique characters, though there is some rinse and repeat with this is as well, but there is enough distinction in character that it won't bother you at all!

Game Play:

The game play is based on two kinds of humor, the kind that is scripted into parts of the game if you play by the story, or the kind that you will be able to create on your own accord. The game has two very different sides to it, the side where you're just going around mindlessly killing and leveling your self up, not to say that isn't fun! It's even better with a buddy, but it can get old for some people after hours of doing the same thing and this is because not everyone plays games based around imagination, so a lot of the things that people like me will think to do, would never cross someone else's mind to entertain them, or there is also the brand new versus mode that is a real money racker and will give you some enjoyment to play against others in a zombie slaughtering chaotic blood fest that could only be crazy enough for 'Reality TV', the time limit on the game is an additional feature that unlike others have seen, I believe adds to the moment of a true survival game 'based' in a horror like realm, you are in a race against time to not only clear your name from being a terrorist, but you're in a race against time to save your daughter from turning into a zombie and this develops depth into the all of the characters around you.

That's not to say the game isn't without it's fault, you will play through and find that once in awhile when you try and swing at someone, your weapon will not attack and their might even be delay when it does, or sometimes you both will swing and for whatever reason! Only the other person connects with their attack and you're left to scramble and find food, but this is also alright cause none of it's game breaking! To find this game worth playing months/years from now? You will need to develop a sense of imagination if you want to truly enjoy the comedic gold that will come out of this game.

The Story:

This is the serious side to the game, the story is very developing and it wouldn't be too far off from what someone would most likely have to go through in the time of a zombie outbreak, that's not to say we'd live everything out to the dot when it comes to the games aspect of hilarity, but it shows you while you play through that you are meant to fail, because nobody is supposed to be able to win in a zombie outbreak, It is a fight for survival and an adrenaline rush through the entire twisting and turning of the story, when big companies fail to protect their name, they have to choose a fall guy and Chuck is that fall guy. I've not yet been able to beat the story fully, so this region will be slightly barren until I do so, but from the parts of the story that i've encountered it does just as great of a job to entertain me as the mindless killing itself has.

Customization:

The game wasn't as broad as i'd have liked it to been, but it's a treat to search the entire city and try to find everything there is to wear, or use weapons wise! There are plenty of shops scattered around the city and mostly all of them will have something you can slip into, or something that can crack a zombies head open! Almost everything is customizable on Chuck, this isn't to say that there is a vast variety on things like hair/glasses, but as long as we don't look like our co-op partner that jumps in, that's all that matters right?

I found it mildly entertaining to kill zombies in what looked to be a granny hat and a used car salesmen suit, so what some may think lacks of diversity and the like? I believe it makes up for in style, you just have to search everywhere cause there is always a new item to slap on yourself, or arm yourself up with!

The customization doesn't just stop with clothes, but the new combo system really is a bold and creative mood that allows us to make weapons that will further enhance our power, or humiliation level to not only the zombies, but yourself as well when it back fires and gets you smacked around a bit, there is also the unique ability to customize the dirt bike you ride around be it the color, or the bare look opposed to the chainsaw handlebars, It's really all about you and your skill to mix and match everything they've given us.

This also isn't to say it's without it's flaws, the fact most of the stuff we use weapon/bike wise is able to break, of course you're always able to leave the area and come back to have it respawn, but it's by which of the means of how quickly it breaks that it kind of throws you into a small loop of frustration, but like the game creators have said, you're never five feet away from something somewhat interesting to use.

Overall Value:

It's a game that requires imagination and the drive to move forwards even with all of the odds stacked against you, this is Fortune city after all! So let me ask you this, are you feeling Lucky?

I pre-ordered it quite awhile ago and I waited and watched the countdown till it was finally on shelves, I have not regretted my purchase a bit and i've been extremely satisfied from start to finish, It's worth a buy in my opinion and you can always find someone to play around with to respark the flame if it was to ever go out, thanks for reading and have an awesome day.
