Fun and interesting; what a game should be.
Darksiders is everything a game should be. Fun to play, interesting story, good boss fights, and the ability to mow down tons of mobs. The game is pretty linear and the zones aren't open to fully explore, but this doesn't take away from the experience.
The boss fights are they way they should be. They're interesting, each one is different, and you have to pay attention to beat them. The final fight was a bit dry, in my opinion, though. In all, they do give you a good challenge.
The weapons in the game are great, even though they aren't plentiful. There are tons of mobs that you can mow through, which is always fun to do. As stated earlier, the zones are linear and not open to fully explore, but they are still fun to play in. The ability to pick up things like cars and use them as weapons is good fun, too.
Overall, this was a far better game than I expected going in. It is well worth playing.
