I murdered my son, for the good of my Empire, it had to be done. I have sunk 90 hours into CK2 and am not done yet. You can play as anyone from an Emperor to a Count, anywhere in Europe, across hundreds of years.

If painstakingly finding the best match for your niece to seal your alliance with the Holy Roman Empire sounds like something you might think is awesome, this game is for you.

THIS IS NOT A COMBAT STRATEGY GAME. There are no troop managements besides appointing generals and moving troops from province to province and assaulting holds. This is strategy on the highest level (excluding god games), not for armchair generals as much as it is for armchair Kings.

If you think of it as Game Of Thrones the Game, You'd be close. (There is even a very good Game of Thrones mod for CK2)

Its a ton of fun and very addicting, excommunicate your enemies, murder your friends, and imprison your siblings, just make sure you have an heir to play as next. =)
