If you've played crackdown 1 you'll know that you play as a physically, mentally and anything else you can shake a stick at enhanced super soldier. so in other words he's better than you at everything. If you've not played the first one it's a moderate sized super human GTA where roughly everything is trying to kill you, nothing more, nothing less. I've spent a couple of hours playing this game and I have to admit it's fun and enjoyable but I can only use those words to a degree, kind of like when you say hot dog, you can say it's a dog but it's only a dog by name and that's what this games is. And no I don't mean a dog.

This may just be me but this game is meant to be an improvement on the first one and it being a sequel I can see where all of the changes are but they don't feel like they impact the game very much. I understand that most people bought this game for the same reasons as the first for example; looks like fun and is actually not a bad game but there seems to be something missing and I can't quite put my finger on it.

You play as an Agent clone, no name, no specific anything… and that is it. The character creation in this game is rather limited and by that I mean you can choose from 4 characters but you hardly see them anyway as you unlock a helmet within your first 10 minutes of play. And none of the characters are female so I'm afraid there is no jiggle physics.

The physics in the game aren't that bad and work pretty well, this means I actually find it good so you can't say I rate everything bad. It is extremely enjoyable and I recommend it to anyone.

The game play isn't all that bad to be honest and in all fairness is quite good but the controls handle a little strange and who the **** designed the hand to hand combat? A f**king schizophrenic with a tendency to hit innocent school girls! I say this because when you try and punch or kick someone your character decides f**k this that guys wearing a blue sweater and must flail his arms in the civilians face until he dies". The overall structure of the game isn't bad but can be a little repetitive especially when running between light absorption units, it's one of the biggest pains in your arse you can imagine in a game, "besides two worlds" but that's beside the point.

Anyway the game consists of you running from one are of the map to another a few 1000 different times and then killing either terrorists or zombies whilst picking up collectibles along the way. If you add up all of the collectibles and side missions you can attempt on the way there are just shy of 1000, but if you're anything like me you'll end up having to do 1100 missions as you'll fail.(I'm not really terrible at games I just mess around a little too much.)

That brings me to difficulty. The game is rather unsure of whether it wants to be easy or hard mainly because of the sheer randomness of enemies. Some enemies appear with a spud gun and a bunch of pebbles to attack you with and you can pretty much just breath on them and they'll just collapse into a puddle of goo on the floor, But on the other hand some of the enemies will spawn with a rocket launcher in one hand, a cigar in the other and a hat saying "Bad Ass" on the front and in case you don't play games, this is a BAD thing!

Sometimes you are just overwhelmed by zombie, but that can be sorted with a couple of UV weapons and if you don't know what that is, it's one of the many things that give you cancer.

I believe indecisive is the word for this game in many cases but difficulty is definitively the reason it doesn't get the work "average" instead.

There are 2 main enemies in the game, these are Cell: a bunch of weirdo's that convert guns into worthless scrap and try and take down a multi millionaire company that own super soldiers and expect to win. And the infected civilian that you are left to mop up after the first game, after all there has to be a link between the first and second game except the voice in your characters head.

There can be a third enemy but it depends if you slaughter enough innocents by "accident" but the Agency will only go after you for an allotted amount of time, like a lazy guard dog.

I don't really know why you'd want to be a major villain in this specific city as there can be up to 4 super human psycho's running round with more guns than a rap concert and the chances are there's gonna be that one guy who's actually gonna want to kill the bad guy. I know it's only a game but logic would be nice.

There is a large arsenal to choose from; from SMG's to RPG's or if you have a more interesting taste a spear gun to a duck grenade. Trust me I had to check twice as well. You can also unlock avatar awards if you are playing on the Xbox 360 as well as your normal range of achievements.

There are certain skills you can level up which are: Agility, Strength, Weapon handling, explosives and driving skill. All of these have 5 levels and come with their own perks. Agility gives faster running speed and jump height, Strength gives you more health, stronger melee and being able to pick up heavier objects. Fire arms unlocks more weapons for you to choose from when you get a supply drop and also makes you increasingly more accurate. Explosives gives unlocks you more explosives in supply drop and more Band for your Buck. Finally Driving Skills grants you more cars the higher you get in levels all the way up to a tank, HELLS YEAH!

The overview for this game in short is; what it lacks in game play it makes up in fun" and that it isn't half bad. But I still can't put my finger on the thing that doesn't feel right. Seeing as people are hopefully gonna take information from this it's worth buying if you like open sand boxes and you have a lot of free time on your hands. I'd give it an 7/10
