Predator+Rambo+Alien=Contra=Epic Win!
The action in this "Run 'n Gun" takes place on the Galuga Island, somewhere in the far future & you control 2 Macho Guys named Bill & Lance.The first one looks like Arnold & the 2nd one like Stallone, it's so hilarious:)Their objective is to wipeout the Alien race controlled by the Red Falcon in order to save the Earth.
There are 8 Levels of non-stop action, begining from the "Predator" like Jungle & ending into the Alien Lair.The game is very hard-you have only 3 lives & you're not guaranteed to even finish the first level with these 3 lives.But, thank god to the cheats & Game Genie that give you 30 lives-now we're talkin'!The 2 player mode is insane!The music is great, there are very memorable tunes like the Jungle Jam & the intermission jingle.There are lots of weapons to pick up & the weapon of choice is obviously the spread-gun.Contra has a great replay value & it's pure gaming joy(if you enter the legendary cheat code of course).It's definitely in Top 7 greatest NES games ever created.
