Now why are there so few reviews on one of the worlds greatest games? Well I guess I'll have to fill in the balnks. Basically, in a nutshell, Chrono Trigger has one of the best soundtracks ever to be seen in a game, the best graphics ever to be seen on a console with SNES's engine, one of the most compelling, sweeping stories rivaling some of the best movies and books, the most elaborately developed in-depth characters, and alas, just plain fun. Graphically Chrono Trigger revolutionized every RPG to come after it. The detail the creators had proccessed into the characters, the environments, and the structures were simply incredible. Not to mention the graphics during the battle sequences. However, it may not seem like much compared to the newer stuff on PS, PS2, Xbox, etc. Chrono Trigger has my favorite game soundtrack of all time. I simply love the music in all places and events. The musical conductor just did such a great, elaborate job on compelling the player to get more involved in the game subconsciencely through the awesome music. The story of traveling through time and fighting Lavos successfully orchistrated twists and turns to make the game have a unique, unheard of idea, as well as a great story. The characters fit right in, not to mention they're really cool alone. (ex: Magus and Frog) All in all Chrono Trigger still holds its own at the top of my favorite RPG list. Regardless of the new systems, a story as good as the one that Square made for Chrono Trigger, just can't be beaten by any new console. If your an RPG fan, and have played this game, you know what I'm taling about. If you aren't an RPG fan here's the time to become one.
