One of the greatest titles of the 16-bit era. CT was released in Japan when SNES was facing stiff competion against much more powerful "next-generation" 32-bit consoles. However the game delivered an incredible experience with immaculate production quality that would remain unmatched by any of its 32-bit competitors until FFVII. Produced by a "dream team" of Japanese devlopers including producers of the two biggest series Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, and character design by Akira Toriyama (his DragonBall comic series was and still is the biggest in Japan ever.) The game also featured an extrmely non-linear plot with numerous twists and possible endings, stunning visuals, and some of the most memorable scores in videogame music. The result was over two million units sold within two months in Japan alone. These achivments basically sum up what I feel about this game; it is simply one of the best games ever.
