This is one of the three different versions of the Cars video game that I've ever played, the others being GBA and PS2.

It's about time that a Pixar Animation Studios movie license gets a good rating. As mentioned in the review deck, this game is one of the three different versions of the Cars game that I have played, the other two being Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Sony PlayStation 2 Computer Entertainment System.

In case you have not watched the movie, the setting is a planet entirely populated by cars, trucks, and other machinery. I really appreciate the voice talent the motion picture involves, like Owen Wilson (Lightning McQueen), Larry the Cable Guy (Mater, with an exciting GIT-R-DONE sequence in the film), Bonnie Hunt (Sally), Paul Newman (Doc Hudson), Cheech Marin (Ramone), Jennifer Lewis (Flo), and George Carlin (Fillmore.)

Just like the PS2 version, you get Story Mode and the exact same features as the PS2 version, except that you don't get the movies. Sorry, that's the way it is when the console maker uses small discs. I noticed the GameCube's disc that they look unusual to me, because I have the game for PlayStation 2, which, as you're aware, uses the normal-sized compact disc.

I tried the Nintendo GameCube version in Austin's Playroom at The Children's Institute in Squirrel Hill, Pennsylvania.
