We Played This Already!
To be honest, their first MW was the best. Sure it was plagued with hacking, game, and map imbalances. BUT it was really enjoyable. Unfortunately after 3+ years MW is STILL plagued with hackers and map imbalances so it brings me to question just HOW MUCH did the old creators; West and Zampella, actually bring in to the table... before they left.
The Main Story can be completed in one night. The story is far-fetched and absurd that it was probably taken from a B movie plot.
Gameplay wise, there is very little changes. They retooled the screen, moved a few things around. Balanced the death perk or two. But the core of the game has not changed since the first MW. Its not a bad thing.... I like it, but I've played this game for its last two incarnations so its gotten monotnous.
The real grit of the game is in its Multiplayer aspect. You don't play MW for its campaign and your done... if you do, congrats on blowing away 50 bucks for 5 hours of fun. For those of us who do play multiplayer, I can safely say I am extremely disappointed.
The maps are quite rehashed from old layouts of past maps. Instead of a ship we have an African village. Instead of a building we get.... another building. The only difference is, there are more open spaces so the choke points are nearly eliminated.
As usual hackers will ruin a game. Been there, done that... its getting old. You would think after 5+ years they would get the programming right to at least eliminate the hackers, but it seems they are a resourceful bunch.
CoD:MW3 is a great game, but not for the price of admission. If you played other MW, you will feel right at home with this one.
