Not as good as Call of Duty 2 for PC and 360 but still a fun game that is worth the price.

Big Red One was hard at first for me. I have played Call of Duty 2 for the PC since its release so playing this one is kinda a step back from the PC version. Once you get past it and into it own story based on the Big Red One I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

The gameplay is good. There are some problems with the AI of both the enemies and your unit. All the weapons are here and are pretty good. You will probably find yourself sticking to rifles and grenades. Rarely did I use a MP40 or other machine gun. The power and accuracy of the rifles is just to good to pass up. Ypou get a good mix of standard FPS missions as well as some tank missions. There is also a flying mission where you are the gunner on a plane. You will find most levels to be the same objective wise and there will almost always be a part where you have to take cover and fight off the oncoming Nazis that always move to the same spots. There are health packs if you need them through out the levels, they did not use the Halo 2 recharge system like the PC version of CoD2 did.

The audio is just like every other CoD game, simply awesome. The sound effects of the guns and the fire fights in the distance are great.

The characters in BRO look pretty good for an original xbox title and the level designs were nice and large, although they could use a little more free roaming and less follow this path.

Xbox Live adds a nice touch to this game and increases the replay value ten fold. It reminds me a lot of the original CoD for the PC and I just really enjoy it. All you fav CoD gametypes are here to play. Vehicles are usable in online play which is an added bonus.

Call of Duty 2 Big Red one will give you a lot of bang for your buck especially if you are a WW2 buff or fan.
