It's Tough, But Truly A Fantastic Racer All Around

This was the very first racing game I played on the PS2, and to this very day, I'm still enjoying every minute of it. Racing and wrecking is as thrilling as ever, crash modes are explosive (literally when blowing your car up around gas trucks and buses, especially with such crash vehicles as the frietruck and the city bus), and the cars are looking as slick as ever. The graphics look superb and the frame rate is able to keep up with all the action. The road rage events are a huge thrill to me, just racking up takedown after takedown, until you expire. The rewards are worth getting such as special cars for getting straight gold in all 173 crash events, getting 10 crash headlines, (racking up a HUGE amount of money in a crash event) etc. It can be a bit annoying at times, and some events may take a little trial and error to pass without getting caught up in too much traffic and not crashing too often, but it's still a fun race, regardless. Don't pass this game up.
