No matter how annoying, pull your hair out frustrating it gets, It'll always be a classic.

Ah, Bubble Bobble. Since I recently found a place with a slew of old school arcade games you can play for free, I will probably be doing a lot of these.

Ahyhow, the basic story is that there's a big dude holding your ladies in a bubble on the 100th level. To get there, you need to work your way through all 100 of them. Occasionally he'll come out and taunt you during the levels as well. To get through these levels you need to eliminate all of the enmies on the board. There are several ways to get rod of them, but the most common one of them by far is to trap the enemies then pop the bubbles with them in it. There are some other ways, but this is what you'll do on the majority of the levels.

The level start off simple, but eventually offer conditions and enemies that require strategy and quick reflexes to beat. This game is not easy, but it's not so difficult that you'll punch the game screen waiting to get through it.

If you're looking for a fun arcade game to play, this game will not burst your bubble.

I'm sorry about that comment. It was really bad.

Gameplay - 8.5
It's fun, addicting, and even has some replay value. But it is a bit repetative.

Graphics - 6
Even for the NES area, the graphics are not that hot.

Sound - 7
While the tune is catchy, you get sick of it after 100 levels.

Value - 7.5
Well... unless you're a Bubble Bobble master, I suggest playing this on a free arcade system, or picking it up on NES or downloading it to the Wii. A 25 cent a pop arcade machine will kill your pockets.

It's Bubble Bobble. It's such a classic, that you have to beat it in order to be a true gamer. If it was before your time, find away to play it. There's a few others on that list (Marble Madness, Pac Man, Gauntlet, etc.) but every amer should have beaten and experienced this game.
