King of the Breath of Fire games. Ryu is back!
Fans of the series will recognize the blue-haired hero, Ryu, the Dragon Prince, once again meeting new allies to fight the evil goddess who wants to run (or ruin) the world.
The new mini-games are great, expanding the fishing routine started in BOF1, as well as getting the opportunity to build your very own faerie village! Faeries can play a big role here, as they open shops to sell weapons, armor, items; play music, run an inn for resting or a casino to gamble!
There is also a new system for changing Ryu into one of his dragon forms. By collecting genes, you can splice them into different combinations and have Ryu transform into unique dragons never seen before!
The random battle frequency has been upped, so there's alot more fighting, but this can be quelled with certain items to reduce the chance of wandering monsters. And anyway, who doesn't like bashing heads in front of a beautiful princess?
This is one game that everyone should have, not just us RPGer's. You'll wish the story never ends! * * * *
