Has enough substance to keep it somewhat interesting, but still keeps the classic multiplayer that we all love.

Bomberman has always been one of Nintendo's classic games. The multiplayer will always stick with us in our hearts. On Bomberman Generation, they add some new aspects to the game while keeping multiplayer exactly the same.
In single-player mode you have a 3-D world to travel around in where you can learn new skills, collect new bombs, and defeat enemies. Unlike previous version, the levels have more interaction instead of just blowing up things that block your way. But don't worry, there's plenty of that to go around. Generation can be interesting for a while, but its effect eventually wears off.
The music is simple and catchy, and the bombs sound authentic on a smaller scale. Meaning, they sound realistic, but they don't have the sound of power like regular bombs. That's not a reason to mark it down though. The music, however, is. It gets very repetitive and annoying, but oh well. The single-player offers puzzles and challenges to keep it interesting, but nothing to taxing of your brain.
The Multiplayer is exactly the same as Super Bomberman except for an optional feature. At the end of each match, the winning team faces off in a soccer style shoot out to gain extra skills such as bomb throw or power bomb. The 2 losers defend the goal while the winners take turns shooting. They get to use the skills they aquire in the next round. An interesting concept, but it's forgettable.
The graphics on the game are at the most decent, but the price isn't all that bad. If you love bomberman, you really need to add this to your collection. If you just like the multiplayer from previous games, then don't get it. This game provides a bit of fun and isn't all that expensive. It could have been better, but I'm not complaining.
