Basic but enjoyable for hours on end.

Bloodwake is a game that is set in the ocean. You are put in a boat and given missions to accomplish before time runs out or you die. It's a basic concept but it's a unique one too, because I used to play this game years and years ago. It really hasn't changed that much, if all to be honest. You can either play the story mode, quick match or multiplayer with your friends. No online mode and no story co-op, but that's not a bad thing due to the fact that it was hard for games to be connected to the internet. Story mode consists of you completing missions like destroying boats or collecting bounty. These missions are a blast to play and the variety is almost endless.
Quick match is where you are pitted against an opponent(s) and you must destroy him/them before they destroy you. Multiplayer is.....multiplayer. (Correct me if I make any mistakes, I haven't played this game in awhile).

I thought the visuals were impressive for an Xbox game. Gunfire, overcast, and lighting effects are all spot-on and done to perfection. Nightcaster, take note. Controls are good for the most part, sometimes the controls can be delayed by half a second (or that could just be my controller) or even not do anything, but when they do work they are pretty decent. Say goodbye to your bed because you will be on this all night long, it's that addicting. Be sure to bring Redbull. Bloodwake for the Xbox is a great instalment. The graphics, controls, gameplay and modes are very good but that issue with the delay is annoying. If you have £1.99 to spare then spend it on this, buy it now.
