this is definatly worth playing for fans and others will find a decent game to enjoy, to bad its short :( and no holows
BAD: to short lack of fighters and modes brings down this games value, WHERES the HOLLOWS???, to ez. Bleach as u might already know is a popular anime that has been running in japan for quite some time and only recently been brought over to the us. being as popular as it is its not suprising a game would be made based on it. Most anime based fighters are generic and boring and will only appeal to fans of the series. but bleach doesn't fall into that category. Its a genuily solid fighter with a nice combat system and good graphics and sound that offer a fun experience to any one who plays it. Graphically the game stays close to the anime and makes good use of cell shading to deliver nice character models and smooth animations. my only complaint is the character faces seem unatural making them look like puppets sometimes but overall great graphics.
Sound in this game is where it really excels at with beutilful voice over and nice sound track + great combat sounds really immerse u into the game.
The gameplay is where this game really shines in and where i wiegh most heavly how i rate the game. the game even though in japanease is very easy to get into and pick up and play. you use combinations of X and O to unleash devasting chain combos which leave ur oppenent defenseless. The more u pound ur opponent the more spirit energy u get which allows u to unlease ur ultimate move by pressing [ ] + X its pretty easy to use and is proably over used but when succesful u'll unleash a devasting attack which will deal heavy damage. As a limiter using it to much in a short period of time will cuase ur character to faint leaving u open for a few seconds to attack from ur enemy. there are a few modes in this game
1)story- here u pick to fight as one of 6 fight to fight against every one else in some sort of story which i can't understand.
2)survival- here u fight as many many enemies as u can till u get knocked out and becareful as ur health doesn't regenerate so even alittle damge can add up.
3)vs cpu- u fight a computer
4) time attack- try to knock out as many ppl as u can in a limited ammount of time.
OVERALL - this game is alot of fun to play and is fun to play in short burst and fans will definatly enjoy it . every one else will find a decent fighter in this game.
