The idea is simple. Play as 2 superpowered with big muscles who defend the galaxy from a piglike invasion. Your guns are your bare hands and feet.
The game is really varied involves for most parts walking and fighting hand to hand with kicks, punches and tackles, pretty much like a final fight kinda games (for those who still remember it). Then there is a space mission in which you control a ship like with robotron or the new XBOX 360 Geometry wars: Retro evolved (with the very difference of here in slow rythm). Then you have a kind of racing level, with you on board of a motorcycle or a surf board . All those changes of gameplay really gives you a lot of variation in gameplaying.
The graphics are SUPERB. With a cartoonish mature style, with a background besides the stage and nice details made this game one of the most detailed games for the nes. Music was nice, and always conquered his job. Creating the mood to play.
The game was really hard, I mean REALLY HARD. Sometimes it was frustrating, specially the bykes scene in which so many times guys repeated over and over the same 3 min level till thew knew perfectly well where to move right where to move left, but this makes you think -There must be something in this game to make people obssesed about it.
Highly recommendable, specially if played in coop. Don`t miss, but if you don`t like the genre, there are pretty much chances you hate this game
