Don't believe the Gamespot review. This game sucks bigtime.

User Rating: 3.2 | Batman: Vengeance PS2
When this game came out, I was all excited to get it. A Batman game for the PS2. Unfortunatley, my joy and happyness quickly turned to frustration and turmoil. While the game has good graphics, the lighting is too dark. Also, the play control is some of the worst I've ever seen in a game. You will die a lot in this game, and I mean a lot. The controls are super sensitive, so you will walk off the sides of buildings or ledges to your death plenty of times throughout the game. Also, panning around goes way fast when in the first person view. The two stages where you drive the Batmobile or fly the Batwing are also bad. This game is just bad. Bad bad bad. Ubisoft gets some bonus points for hiring the people from Fox's Batman cartoon to do the voiceover work, but even that is bad. Sounds like everything was recorded in just one take. And the game doesn't flow together very well either. It jumps around in the plot in a very unlinear fashion for how the game is designed. At best, I'd say rent this game before buying it, but it's so old now, you can probably pick it up at an EB/Gamestop for pretty cheap. But even so, you'll want to trade it back in after a few days. As for the game itself, fighting the bad guys and bosses is easy, you get plenty of ammo. The play control is just so bad, you will die more from that than anything.
