One of the funniest games ever, but high-quality in other ways, too.

Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGA is one of the best Japanese-style RPGs in the last few years. Aside from being hilarious, it also has great gameplay. The combat system's engaging (with some interesting twists on timed button-pressing enhancing the core turn-based gameplay), the game has a bunch of entertaining secrets and easter eggs, and best of all, there's no filler. This is something commercial JRPGs routinely get wrong, but BSUAJG gets right.
This game is worth playing for the humour/writing alone, but it's more than just a gimmick game. Don't let the esoteric title and subject matter fool you--this is a genuinely great RPG and something virtually anyone will enjoy. It's free to download, so there's little reason not to download it--slam with the best, or jam like the rest.
