Above average non-kart racing.
As far as DS racing goes... I still consider Mario Kart to be the best racing game in terms of playability and pure fun.
I'll keep this one short....
The Pros:
Licensed Cars
Car Garage
Not another Kart game
It's downloadable.
The Cons:
The optional touch-steering is horrible, but thankfully not required.
The idea of going faster by drifting is strange.
The races are easy... almost too easy.
Overall:
It'd be hard to argue against purchasing, considering the price of the game. It's a great value, but just don't expect to be amazed by this racer, unless you're only exposure to racing video games is through a DS.
As for my score of 6... this is based all games regardless of genre. If I were scoring only racing games for the DS, then based on the competition I'd give it an 8 out of 10. In other words... unless you're in need of a racing game for the DS, you can safely pass on this one, but if you love racing games like I do, then might as well pick this up as the pickings are slim for decent racing games on the DS.
