Called the Star Wars Battlefront Planets Experience, the site takes you on a guided tour of four planets featured in Battlefront: Endor, Hoth, Tatooine, and Sullust (which Battlefront is taking us to for the first time). You essentially watch a video of game action on the planet that occasionally pauses and gives you the opportunity to learn more about what you're seeing on-screen.
You can click highlighted areas to read about the Millennium Falcon, for instance, and then watch a short gameplay clip of what it's like to control the iconic ship. Elsewhere, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at what went into the making of Sullust, an explanation of the various equipment at players' disposal, or a glimpse of Luke Skywalker in action. We don't get to see Jakku, the planet from The Force Awakens that's coming as free DLC for everyone on December 8 (or December 1 for those who preorder).
There are 12 multiplayer maps in all at launch. Additional planets could be released in the future as DLC; during a recent conference call with investors, EA's Peter Moore indicated that post-launch content will add "new universes," among other things.
Battlefront is due out on November 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
