The trailer also provides another look at Toussaint, a beautiful and bustling city that hides a deadly secrets and beasts in its shadows.

"Don't let them fool you into thinking it's just another contract," the trailer's narrator says. "This land has never seen such unspeakable evil."

Blood and Wine launches on May 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is The Witcher 3's second paid expansion, following Hearts of Stone last October. Blood and Wine features more than 90 new quests and 40 points of interest to explore. Overall, the content should offer around 30 hours of gameplay.

CD Projekt co-founder, Marcin Iwinski, has said Blood and Wine is definitely the final chapter in The Witcher 3's story and the studio has no intention of making a new Witcher game for the foreseeable future.

"This is the end. Blood and Wine is [the] closing and there won't be any Witcher any time soon--if there ever will be one."
