Tearaway released exclusively for Vita in October

Media Molecule's handheld project gets October release date, with physical copies featuring reversible cover art.

Tearaway, the PlayStation Vita exclusive from Little Big Planet developer Media Molecule, will be released this October.

North America will get the papercraft platformer on October 22, with a European release three days later on October 25. Tearaway will be available both physically and digitally on launch day.

The physical edition will also feature reversible box art, allowing players to choose between Tearaway protagonists Iota or Atoi.

Tearaway, which was unveiled at Sony's Gamescom 2012 press conference, is the latest project from UK developer Media Molecule. The game aims to make use of numerous Vita-specific features, including the console's cameras and rear touch pad.

Media Molecule also unveiled its next experimental project for PlayStation 4 during the console's February unveiling.
