Skate 3 Joins EA Access Library On Xbox One Today, It Seems

The 2010 skateboarding game is reportedly now free for EA Access members.

Last month, EA announced that Skate 3, Dead Space Ignition, Madden NFL 17, and Zuma's Revenge would be added to the EA Access Vault of free games. Now, it looks like one of those games, Skate 3, has arrived. People on NeoGAF are reporting that the skateboarding game is showing up as available to download, though GameSpot could not confirm this at press time.

Skate 3 is an Xbox 360 game playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, so if you already own the game for the last-gen console, you can play it on Xbox One right now. Dead Space Ignition and Zuma's Revenge are also Xbox 360 games that play on Xbox One but are not in the Vault yet.

In other news about the Skate series, despite an EA community manager tweeting about Skate 4, the game is not in development.

In addition to free games, EA/Origin Access members can play some games (but not all) ahead of launch; most of the time, subscribers get a five-day headstart. Another benefit is that subscribers save 10 percent on all EA digital content, which knocks down the price of a $60 game to $54.

The service costs $5/month or $30/year and is available on Xbox One and PC. No version of EA Access is on PlayStation 4.
