Saints Row is coming back, but not quite how you remember it. A rebooted Saints Row was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live, featuring an entirely new cast of characters in a new setting.

The debut trailer showed a high-stakes heist pulled off by a crew of young people building what they call a "criminal empire startup." That results in a chase around the new southwest city of Santo Ileso, ultimately ending in an appearance from The Boss--the player protagonist character in any Saints Row game.

The new game's tagline, "Self Made," suggests the game will revolve around starting your criminal empire from nothing as you take on rival gangs. After the debut CG trailer the studio showed off a set of quick snippets of gameplay as well.

Saints Row is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 25, 2022.
