Your EA Origin account will soon be called by a different name. Electronic Arts has announced that, in the coming weeks, they'll be called "EA Accounts."
This is being done "to better represent all of EA's games and services," the company said in an email.
No further explanation was provided; and it appears account owners should not expect any other changes.
EA says accounts will change names "in the coming weeks."
Origin, something of a competitor to Valve's Steam storefront, launched in 2011. It currently has more than 50 million members, compared to over 125 million for Steam.
One part of Origin is its free game offering called On the House. The current free PC game is Zuma's Revenge.
